While studying  French Literature at Sophia University, he focused on the comparative study of Western and Japanese cultures through research on the European Middle Ages. This pursuit fostered a deep understanding of European culture.

Upon graduating in 1989, he joined Asahi Tsushin (now ADK Holdings), where he remained until May 2025. In the early part of his career within the media division, he gained invaluable experience in journalistic communication through his work with professionals in the production departments of magazine and newspaper companies, including editors, reporters, and photographers. This experience enabled him to develop highly effective “strategic communication” skills, blending PR and advertising to maximize cost-effectiveness.

In 2011, as part of new business development initiatives, Mr. Haraguchi took on the responsibility of strategic alliances with a French startup focused on open innovation. This marked a turning point, leading to an expansion of collaborations with overseas startups. He continued in this role for 14 years, until 2025.

In June 2025, he established Startbridge LLC.
